Baby Number 3: Zion Cole

Baby Number 3: Zion Cole

Baby Number 3  We aren’t for sure how many kids we want. We knew we weren’t done at 2, but weren’t really ready or ready to plan number 3. 2017 was a tough year for us. We experienced our first losses as a married couple. In April 2017, we lost my husbands sister. It was a loss that brought a lot of guilt, conviction, and hurt to our family. It was an unexpected car accident. An unexpected nephew needing a good home. An unexpected battle of police and investigator phone calls. And unexpected renewing of our relationships with God to...

From Broken to Mended

From Broken to Mended

This Sunday at church, our pastor spoke about the word “Rhema”. Which is the Greek word for “thing said” which in the Bible would mean God’s Word. More than planting seeds

We didn't dress up or take pictures for Easter this year. We didn't make it to church. It felt weird, but celebrating my favorite holiday happened differently this year. Eight days before Easter my husband lost his older sister. His first best friend, the first girl to boss him around and tell him what to do. We spent our Easter Sunday traveling home from a week spent with family. A week spent grieving, and a week spent celebrating life. A week learning a valuable lesson. We have always tried to be God's light in this dark world. We try to...

For the mom who's baby doesn't sleep through the night... 🙋🏼

For the mom who's baby doesn't sleep through the night... 🙋🏼

This post is going to be a little different. It's about some gifts God has given me as a mother. We have two kids. Cove will be 3 in May and Ember is just shy of 10 months. I constantly see Facebook posts or memes about tired moms. And I get it, I'm tired too. Like really tired some days. I've tried to give up caffeine, I even did a six month fast of my drink of choice Dr Pepper. But my migraines, energy, and honestly sanity need a little caffeine in my life to do my job at work and...
